Fellowship & Fees
To encourage academic excellence and support meritorious research, VMLS offers fellowship opportunities to deserving full-time doctoral scholars as per University norms.

Eligibility Criteria
- Master's degree in Law (LL.M.) or equivalent qualification from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks (or 50% for candidates from reserved categories as per UGC norms).
- Candidates must submit a synopsis or concept note highlighting their proposed area of research and its significance.
- Selection is based on a written Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and/or interview conducted by the Doctoral Committee.
Programme Structure
- Coursework on Research Methodology, Legal Theory, and Interdisciplinary Studies
- Regular progress reviews, seminars, and publications in indexed journals
- Development of independent research work under the supervision of assigned mentors
- Submission and defense of a doctoral thesis as per UGC Ph.D. regulations
